I find myself enjoying the .25 experience more than the .22 (probably due to long range accuracy) and I'm wondering how many out there use a .25 as their go-to gun for non hunting shooting. If so, why?
Lol wait til you try a .30 I'm not a plinker but do enjoy using the bigger calibers when sighting in and tuning and testing pellet accuracy. And when hunting very satisfying
Not much of a plinker myself, but I did have my BSA Buccaneer out the day. Shoots .25 cal JSB Kings at about 550 FPS. This is with the hammer spring backed out-- full power is about 200 FPS more. It was fun to shoot the gun then wait for the pellet to impact 20 yards away. Had 3/8" exterior siding scraps and it would sink the pellet all way down to skirt... and the next couple pound it through. Fun. Then I realized that I'd just blown $10 worth of pellets. .177 is a heck of a lot cheaper. Gotta say though, the .25 cal is MUCH easier to load than .177, and that makes it more fun too.

Yesterday, I was shooting at some decorative pumpkins my wife wanted rid of. I drew dime sized bulls and went at it at 40 yards. Still one left for today if it stops raining. Cross wind adds some challenge but .25 doesn't seem as susceptible to wind as the smaller calibers.
