People who like hatsans for the most part have never shot an air arms, weihrauch or other quality gun. (Note I said for the most part) since general impressions were asked for, mine is that they are unrefined, rough action, shoot at strong velocities and are WAY too heavy to carry in the field. Accuracy can be ok, but not in the class of air arms, fx or even a marauder with the green mountain barrel which is also a heavy gun but still a full pound lighter than most hatsans. I haven't owned one, but have shot a few and from a bench they're ok but they felt like boat anchors to carry.
I've had 3--they all went back.
Baxter-☆★☆★☆★☆°If they release that BT65 Bull Pup over here in the states that would be game over! Maybe the most powerful and accurate .25 Bull Pup, now all they would have to do is to get rid of that side bolt and re place it with a side lever like on the AT44 series.☆★☆★☆★☆No no no Baxter, Buddy it is apparent from your statment that you have never shot a Galation. Yes I agree the SB BT65 even in the Elite is the clunkiest to cock,The AT44 W-10 is twice as smooth as the BT, but the super sweet GalationLong bladed full consealed side action is the King of the Mountain. The Galation side action is Sooooo butterier smooth, you can lift it out with the your pinkie and side it back in with your thumb, once it is broken in. Add the air stripper and it cuts the noise in at least half and tightens the groups right up. The air stripper is going to be the best $30 bucks you can spend on a Hatsan PCP. Pre QE that is. Just a few annoyances on the at44 when it arrived yesterday, trigger was just like a typical crosman OTB, stock screw seemed gorilla glued in, and before the screw behind the trigger was even out something went wrong and couldnt get fixed, partially my fault, partially the designs fault (that trigger adjustment screw is short and stubby, so easy to adjust too far), for details I made a thread, long story short, Pyramid is gonna send me a replacement, and Hatsan said they were unsure what they were gonna do, had to tear gun apart and make a judgment then.

Hey don't feel too bad, I have 4 guns with the Quartto trigger and they suite me, but I am a rookie with Adult AGs.I had good luck with adjusting them except one. I turned a screw too far and I could not cock the gun. I played with it a quarter turn at a time until it fired again. Then next time I was on my way out of the room where I keep the guns and flipped the safety off.The safety acted like the trigger and fired a pellet into the wall. So I can't blame the tigger, lol . It is great now.Be Well,Gator
I own a Hatsan 125 Sniper in .25 cal. - bought it new for less than $200. I think I got lucky in that it works fine. Shooting JSB exact Kings at 712fps - 28 ft. lbs., but accuracy is only so-so, best I can do is 3/4 to one inch at 30 yards. That said, I enjoy the thump of the larger pellets, but would not buy another Hatsan, the quality compared to my German and British guns is clearly lower. It's like they use "pot-metal" on their guns. I guess that Hatsan has it "niche" in the market, but I'm at a point where I recognize that I'd prefer to have one HW/Air Arms product over two or three lesser quality guns!
The last posts have me scratching my head.Hatsan as a whole doesn't have the best QC rating. It still exists.I think quickly throwing figures or % around is not founded, and short sided. Don't rely on this.Buying a "Hatsan refurb" depends on what got looked into. You can still have problems down the road if an existing problem wasn't stated and addressed in the return,,,or wasn't "known",,, as they don't always get stripped down and rebuilt. Nothing like if a higher priced unit, like a HW, TX, or upper end Diana comes in. They, I bought, and recommend all the time. If the mass produced rifles will shoot within limits, for a few times, it's deemed "good to go". (EDIT: I'm sure that at "slower times", that they all may get more attn. based on volume recieved. But I wouldn't bet one way or the other ya' know). That's your 30day warranty gamble for the money
