One of the screws did chew up the pivot pin causeing the arm to twist. It went real bad from there when the cocking shoe area was nearly cut away from the sharp edges in the tube. The shoe area is wasted! That cause the whole thing to twist which caused the arm to start cutting into the tube itself!
200 shots and still dieseling? I'd have taken it apart for a cleaning.Dieseling is just some smoke and smell and may take awhile to clear as dirty as most Hatsans seem.Detonation is what you don't want for long.
I hope I am not off topic. I owned one of those cute little Supercharger 25s in .22. It was the 3rd Hatsan I bought and I had about 3 months experience in "adult air guns". Not that this one was under that catagory. I could not get a group at 10 yards. I didn't have a Crony at the time so I put on my chainsaw mask and fired 4 different type of pellets into a new pine 1x6. It would hardy bury a pellet past the head. Got ahold of nice service person Stacy, at P.A. She gave me an RMA on a Wednesday. That gun had a tight barrel and didn't close right or I don't think it did. I was pushing the pellets about a 1/4" down the barrel. Then I tryed shooting without the pushing thing. It buried the pellets deeper like with Polymags to the end of the skirt. I felt guilty and ordered a Crony from Amazon next day delivery. It arrived, I set it up and was getting close to 450fps depending on the pellet brand. The box from Hatsan said 600fps. They seemed pretty close on my other two Hatsans I had and my AT44 was faster then claimed. So I returned to P.A. The service person looked mine over and agreed it was not very close to the box label speed claim. She tested the whole current inventory of Supercharger 25s in .22 and they averaged 425 fps. She returned the entire shipment to Hatsan and suggested I buy a 2240. Great call it turned out. It, at it's peek on a CO2 tube clocked 450fps and shot about 60 shots per. Then P.A. posted in red letters on their site that the .22 version was "Not" 600fps but 450fps. It is still there. I was just saying that, that model had "ISSUES".https://www.pyramydair.com/product/hatsan-model-25-supercharger-air-pistol?m=2717
@Privateer: I am ordering those parts today. Shipping 'em straight to you.By the way, when the gun gets to the testing phase, would you do me the favor of running it over the chrony?
Well, it's been my experience that air pistols are always off from the published speeds. I never trust what the box says.Especially since HatsanUSA and Hatsan International are two different companies. I suspect that the boxes were marked by HatsanUSA, and that if you were to ask Hatsan International what the rated speed of the SC25 is with .22 caliber, they would probably not say 600.But you also need to remember: 500 fps in .22 caliber from a PISTOL is an INCREDIBLE amount of power. Eight foot pounds from a pistol is nothing to sneeze at. The beloved Diana LP8 (and its predecessor, the venerable Diana P5) only rates 530 fps in .177 caliber, and it's considered to be a "heavy hitter." And at that power level, it's only a 5 foot pound pistol.
I guess maybe you should do a little bit more research because both sites show it rated for the same speed in .22calhttp://www.hatsanusa.com/products-page/spring-powered/mod-25-supercharger/http://www.hatsan.com.tr/en_mod_25_supercharger.html
