Steve [Methuselah] I am planning to buy a chronograph next time I go to town - I live on a small farm in the country. It seems to me the best way to obtain an objective measure of performance for short and long term evaluation. However you mentioned using a"cellphone app". What application might that be?
Granted after nearly 200 rounds I could hardly cock it the next day!
Hey NTSOG,I do not have a Hatsan 125, but have tuned many Hatsan 95's and a 135.Given my experience, here is what I would do:1) Shoot the gun and enjoy first!2) Sounds like you are mechanically inclined, you can tear it down anytime. I never worried about violating their warranty 3) Hatsan's quality control has improved, especially in regard to the piston's (sloppily machined) sear slot, which "kicked off" metal flakes, ruining piston seals.4) When your ready to tune the gun, buy a piston seal from AGH (GTA Mall) and his 3 pack of lubes (about $36 total).5) Go to the GTA library and read all you can about tuning a Springer by CDT, read his articles about different lubes too. My Two Cents,Good Luck .....................Kirk
