Contact ARCHER air guns and frankly ... Just ask ?
I have the Stoeger X20 S, and yes, the baffles do come out when you take off the end cap.
Thank you for taking a look at our Suppressor rifle. I can understand your question about cleaning baffles, with having shot firearms with suppressor on the end it is necessary to clean the powder residue that builds up on the inside. However with an air rifle this is not the case, the interior is properly cleaned and coated with a rust preventative during factory assembly. I will caution you that opening up the suppressor is not advised and would void your warranty. Please refer to our website at usa.stoegerairguns.com under the care and maintenance section. To answer your questions yes that is a spring, it is the tension for the baffles to make sure they do not shift for proper alignment. The Suppression unit cannot be removed as it is molded plastic and must be maintain attached to the gun. I believe you had some concerns with talking to Mr. Archer above, please do not hesitate to contact him, we value his opinion and suggestions here at Stoeger Air very much.Best Regards,Dan RiceStoeger Airguns Product Manager
Dave,If you read Mr. &^%$# blog you will find that he actually did a very good review of the stoegers pointing out things that needed to be improved and to the best of my knowledge stoeger has listened. You can trust Stephen's opinion.
i have 3 Stoegers and the x20s has been modified with a gas ram and new trigger. It was a good gun before but now its fantastic. My other stoegers do very well also so i wouldn't hesitate to but another one.Archers is a very good place to ask a question as he will tell you both plus and minuses and you can go from there. They have a 2 year warranty on them also as long as there stock.Ive had only one issue where a scope broke and had a replacement in apx a week or less so i was very happy with there service from Stoeger. Good Luck!
in my case the velocity went up as i bought this gun used and it was still fairly new but was full of gunk.It is such a sweet gun now Thanks to Gene the Almighty! lol I wouldn't want another any other way now. After several hundred shots she leveled off at 780-790 fps and very quiet.I switched to a wood stock and that help her even more.It also had a CDT trigger installed also.Touch the trigger and pow!I like a light trigger and shes great.I don't know what gas ram he used but it works great. She was pretty accurate before ram but with ram and new trigger she boring accurate to 30 yards.I really like the feel of the Carbine style rifles alot.If ya need any more info pm me and ill talk to ya about it more.
