I have just purchased a AirForce Talon and was wandering how it works. I understand how most of Crosman's work, but the Talon appears to be different. Are there any animations out there?
I don't mean how you load a pellet, but how does the hammer up front get the air behind the pellet.

The hammer strike actually knocks the valve (the shiny part on the front of your tank) back slightly to release air.
How hard it hits, (your speed adjustments on the left), controls how much air is released.
If you did the "poor mans regulator" mod to the gun, you put an oring behind the top hat so the valve has something to help rebound it back consistently other than the air pressure in the tank.
I don't know of any animations that show HOW it works.
And a google search didn't turn up any.
They are neat guns, and have always liked the look, and the option of carrying an extra tank if you needed to.
Also the ability to use co2 with just a tank change.
Unlike a conventional dual fuel gun, having to degas it, and then bulk fill, and re adjust the settings for co2.

I make 2 predictions;
ON THE DATE WHEN US TROOPS ARE ISSUED AN Energy Pulse Weapon,
1. The US Soldier will have on his person a version of the Colt 1911.
2. He will be aiming the NEW Weapon at someone carrying an AK47.
