They went up, but would be worth it even if they WERE $300 finished! My slugs went up to $28 & $31 tin shipped - they were $22 & $25 + shipping - so if a person orders just 1 tin for sampling they're paying the original price...BUT - I ran some numbers for gearing up for doing this full time (which includes hiring an employee + Workman's Comp, etc...) and if I want to STAY in business that's what I had to do.As long as raw materials don't increase in cost my pricing will stay the same.I'm not answering for Norm but as another small business owner, sometimes that's what it takes to ensure you're still around for the long haul to continue to offer your products to folks.
now i dont own a disco. but my marauder has a boyds blaster from Normit handles and feels way better than the original stock. looks good too
Boyds has another supplier that is trying to keep them supplied. I have received a couple pepper laminated ones and they are much darker.
Yes they did pull ALL the blanks as they're not able to get the quantity of blanks as before. With their main supplier gone the other supplier is helping as much as they can.Orders I place always has one or two that are out of stock which holds up my deliveries.ED the Camo I have is not dark looks just like all the Camo I have been getting.Norm
Question for you guys who finished your own. With the high gloss poly, does it lose it's sheen over time with a lot of use? I like the glossy look, but my disco gets as much field use as bench use. So it will be carried in the woods. I'm afraid of scratching or dulling up the finish.
