JohnB, I just ordered the 26J regulator, main spring and pin.. I have a tin of the JSB 8.44's so ill give it a try when all is here and assembled. Im actually expecting to see I can use the 10.54's at a much lower fps than 1030. the 16J regulator is giving me 715fps with the 10.54's now. Too much drop for my taste.

I found a site that discussed the pellet that is used to test the Walther/Hammerli air rifle. They list the test pellet as an 8.2 Meisterkrugen wad-cutter. Hope that settles some of the mystery. SO now if you use the formula of : velocity x velocity x pellet weight divided by the constant of 450240 it will give you your FT LB. Than means that if the velocity is 1020 and the pellet is an 8.2 grain weight that the calculated FT LB should be 18.9482 of 19 FT lbs,

I hope that I have this link stuff figured out. This should be yet another link to a different diagram of the Hammerli AR 20 listing every part and part number used to configure the different versions of the AR 20.

Update:
Designed a replacement fore end rail and had it 3D printed in SLS white nylon. The new fore end free floats the barrel completely. No more POI shifts. It's not pretty (exposes the brass regulator) but it works. It sheds about 1 pound off the front end of air rifle - 10 lbs. 11 ounces total. I had to purchase a TKO LDC and had to shave the some of the plastic collar to prevent contact with the floating air cylinder. I have a longer one designed but I wanted to field test this initial version for several months. Removing the air cylinder for refills is much easier as well.

Update: Ordered and installed 19 FPE (26J) regulator. I am getting 845 fps with 8.44 AADF pellets. I still have the original weakened hammer spring installed and shimmed. Getting +70 shots from 210-80 bar.

Leo, when I got the 1030fps regulator from Umarex the bag was labeled 30joules, though all of any earlier references were to 26 joules. There is a small screw above the regulator for which there is a purpose sized Allen wrench included on the kit with the gun when sent from the factory. It apparently influences air flow from the regulator to the chamber. I tweeted this screw and tuned the fps down from 924fps to 892fps after installing the 30j regulator. I'm getting 45 - 50 shots per fill from 300 bar down to 200 bar. I have observed theat your comment about ease of cocking and fps have materialized for me. It's easier now, after about 8000 pellets, and the fps has dropped about 20. I think it's time to tweet the screw back a little so the fps goes back up to about 900. I'll also consider shimming the spring to keep the fps up. When I ordered the new regulator I also ordered the hammer spring and shim so I think I've got all the factory parts I need. Your gun looks great! I shoot HFT so I cannot use a butt hook on mine.

Jenora,
I have the transfer port screw you mentioned opened to the max using my chronograph. I also have ordered an extra hammer spring as a backup. The difference in length between the old and new spring is about 1/16". I shimmed the spring until I got to 845-850 fps in velocity. I am still playing around with accuracy, velocity and shot count. Accuracy is still the most important with shot count (60 or more) second. I try to not to fill past 206 bar (3000 psi) since it gets less efficient with the shot count. But for a field target shoot I will fill both of my air cylinders (steel and the aluminum spare) to 250 bar for the maximum shot count.
