Crosman 160 with Peep, Sheridan??

Hey folks. Made a sweet score at a flea market today. Snagged a Crosman 160 in great condition for next to nothing. Also, got a true Sheridan pre 1977 and a 2240 pistol. All three work and set me back less than $60.00
I know about the 160, and already have plans. However, I am interested in some opinions on whether a restoration, or simply a cleanup and mechanical refreshing would be best. While I would like to bring the 160 to its best appearance and operation, I know that in some cases "restoring" a vintage item is the worst thing you could do.
The Sheridan is a pre 77 and from the Rancine plant. I am having a little trouble figuring out just what it is. Some help there would be greatly appreciated.
The pistol is a Crosman 2240 with long barrel, just something I grabbed for the heck of it and will probably clean up and put in the classifieds since pistols just aint my thing.
Thanks for having a look folks, and I might have a serious opportunity for collectors posted shortly.

Great score! It's been a very long time indeed since I've made one similar.
You certainly owe the brother-in-law!
The Sheridan should prove to be the keeper of the lot! Dunno if the brass breech cover that includes the scope dovetails and the swing-away peep is from Mac1 but it's ingenious. Even without it however Blue Streaks of that vintage are normally tack-drivers. They are the exclamation stroke behind "domestic American pumpers" and no airsenal without one can be considered complete. Keep it and resist all efforts to wrest it from you!
As a devoted Crosmaniac I'd keep the 160 also----IF----it is one of the ones that shoot straight. Not all do. That it has the 331 rear sight is a distinct bonus and will add to desirability should you decide to place it on the open market.
The 2240-----hmmmmm. As the 'Daddy' of the movement to modify them even I am a bit conflicted. It appears to be very well executed indeed---may even have the Walther barrel. I suggest that you shoot it from a rest. If it IS a Walther barrel you'll discover misses devolve entirely on your own shoulders and you should hide it until you sharpen you pistol skills or mount it in the 1399 shoulder stock to convert it to a carbine.
In any eventuality I'd like to lay claim to first right of refusal on any of the three. <of939@centurytel.net>
In the meantime you should increase your tithing to the church of your choice!

OK, here we go...
I went ahead and pretty much bought as much of what the guy had that I could. Once you see what I got, you'll understand why.
I got a total of 18 guns. I gave the only chinese made models to the brother in law for hooking me up with this find as he wanted em. They were a couple CO2 UZI style pistols with wire stocks and external tank modifications. Chinese, but cool nonetheless.
The good stuff is preliminary as follows till I have time to properly sort, document and photograph. For now, these pics will suffice. I will state here , I will be selling almost all of these and will entertain offers ONCE I HAVE THEM SORTED. If you're interested, feel free to PM me and I'll try to respond asap and keep some semblance of order. I can't make any promises or clear and cut deals till I am certain what I am dealing with. Been a long day, and the holiday is going to slow things down.
The side lever at the top is a Diana 48/52 and I may keep that and the Crosman 160. The German BSF pistol will belong to the spouse. Other than those, the rest is up in the air..... All of this stuff is vintage, at least 1977 or older as far as I know at this moment.
I have several pre 77 Sheridan Blue streaks, two Silver Streaks, a Benjamin Franklin 177, a couple Crosman 2240 pistols, A Crosman 160, an as yet unidentified BSF break barrel, and a 1970 Smith and Wesson Model 79G new in the box and never fired or loaded with CO2. **Whew**
The one that really has my interest and curiosity going is the Kessler 22 cal. Preliminary research says they were only made for 3 years and are quite rare.
Condition ranges from fair to very good except for the pistols which range from good to mint.
Any additional info on any of these is greatly appreciated.

the 160 looks like it might be a CMP gun. most of them came with the 331 sights and slings.
nice find on all the others,.

That 'Dan looks like maybe a late '50's model with the high comb stock and narrow forend. Should be a thumb safety model. Weird looking rear sight thingy though.

The BSF pistol is model S20. Sweet little shooter slightly low power. You will have to watch your hand on the sight when cocking the pistol. I did a review on the S20 I bought last month. Is that the unidentified BSF you mentioned? If it is a rifle should have model number on left side of barrel by the hinge. I might be interested in it if it is a rifle. PM me with pics.

That's a Mossberg S100 or S130 peep sight if I'm not mistaken. Actually pretty good sights. Somebody used what they had. Hmmmm..... If that's a cover it is attached to, it gives one ideas.

Yup, it's a Mossberg S-130 peep. The mount looks like brass that's been sweated or soldered together, and is tapped with small allen heads to clamp it to the rifle. Not a bad job, but far from precise. It hold solidly, but it is not properly centered on the barrel.
The 160 is going to get a restoration soon, hopefully within a month. It shoots very nicely and has surprising power. I hope to restore it to original appearance, and maybe add some internal upgrades to boost FPE.
