Hi MikeBasically they are the same gun, but there is a big difference in cost. The 2240 is awesome right out of the package, BUT to make it as good as the 2300KT you will have to add a steel breech $34.95, you will probably going to want a longer barrel about $15.00 (for a basic type)At that point you are in about a $100.00For that same $100.00 a 2300kt comes with a adjustable trigger, the seam in the frame are removed, a steel breech is included, and a choice of barrel length for a small fee.The internals of the two are the same, there tons of goodies for the 2240, both performance and bling,Most will work on both. The 2300kt is the cost effective way to go, if you don't mind the wait. Some of us need to have NOW so we did it by getting the 2240 and doing the mods The NEED must be quelled EdHope this helps I know I probably forgot a bunch of things but I think this gives you the idea.
Now for a few quick questions.1) I know that I'll need to clean the barrel with some GooGone then with a few dry passes and let it sit, apply a drop of Pellgunoil to the CO2 cartridge tip and bolt O-ring and generally inspect it, but other than that what else should I do before I do some plinking?
2) With the adjustable sear spring I know that most of you like your trigger as light as possible and I need to make sure that it is lefty loosey lower for lighter, righty tighty higher for tighter, or am I backward on that?
3) What is this little bump/tab in the breech?
