Thanks for the info. blackdiesel,Hopefully the regulator's will have a set-point, range to allow low pressure shooting (90 to 100 bar). I know Hatsan prides themselves on power, but the lower range would greatly benefit individuals looking for shot count in the 825 fps to 925 fps (.177 ca.). The regulator seems a bit marginal for .25 cal owners and above as it will take away from needed shot count. Kirk
Nice results, Walter.... I particularly like the last string at 2 turns out.... It looks like you are right on the knee of the power curve, as the velocity starts to decline very slightly, then has a last little bump at shots 40-41 before dropping.... You can see the same thing, only more pronounced, towards the end of the 1 turn out string, the velocity rising from shots 44-51 then falling slowly through shot 63 before tanking.... I'm guessing that the setpoint occurred right around shot 48 on that string, and you were able to shoot below it for quite a few shots.... That's definitely the way to tune for greatest shot count.... Regulators are great when you don't ask them to provide too much power, that is when they really shine....Bob
Figure the Plenum at ~1.5" plus the same for the regulator, and you will be down from 230cc to about 185cc (11.3 CI).... IF you can get 25-30 FPE at 100 bar, you will have 100 x 11.3 = 1130 CI of air available.... At 1.0 FPE/CI, that would total 1130 FPE, divide by 40 shots = 28 FPE.... Therefore, what you are looking for should be possible, but you will likely have to play with it to get there....Bob
