Easy there stretchI know you're a tad excited, tis to be expected. But first see how it shoots, then figure out the accessories. But to help you decide when you're ready, some people use a picatinny bipod attached to the front of the stock rail & leave the sling mount. Or you can remove the gun from the stock, drill a small hole & mount your sling studs. Can't wait to hear your results, this one should be a shooter.
This will be, after all, my primary shooting machine.
Hate to say it but I do not understand?
Here is my 50 yard group .275ctc that is what the rifle is capable of........ there is much more going on I feel. what pellets?
Are you sure its not the scope?
You have a .177 right. I would bet that the gun is shooting way too hot.
How are your 25 yard groups? I found that I had to "get used" to my guns at 25 yards where I can make sure I'm using proper technique and not trying so hard to keep the crosshairs on target. Once I get comfortable and my technique is spot on I move out to longer targets. The first time I shot 100 yards it was terrible, now I can fit just about all my shots inside a 2" bullseye. If you're getting good groups at 25 yards and you're sure your technique is spot on, but the pellets are floating at 50 yards it's probably shooting waay too hot.
Do you have JSB pellets?
