PRod all the way! I'm getting 21.4 FPE and 24 shots from my little AR PRod. Took a fox out at 42 yards with no problem at all and squirrels are not any problem out to 50+ yardsIt has the Double Tube Kit, drilled out transfer port and .041 heavy spring. It will shoot a ranged hole group at 40 yards all day long. I was only getting 10 shots at that power was the reason for the Double Tube.Norm

I will probably wind up owning all three at some point
As small as a Talon P tank is, a pump will do the job. But a tank is always nice.

It was stated earlier in the thread that the TalonP was 213cc, which is near identical to a Mrod. Power and shot count seem compareable to a 25 cal Mrod. Yes, at first we say it is not bad pumping! The more we shoot, the more we question that. I said that for a couple of years. The Prod or Disco would be fine pumping. The talon P, I suspect, not so much. Good luck, and have fun with whatever you end up choosing.
That's my plan for next year don't be getting too antsy on me

Seems funny to me you ask our advice, and P-rod has more votes (15) than the other two combined (6 + 6) and you still go with the "cheapest" option.Remember, "the stingy man pays twice."I have a bunch of nice airguns and have shot many high-end PCPs, and I still love my P-rod carbine. Barnydaddy sold his 22 and 177 M-rods, but kept his P-rod. I think you should cut out the first step and go right to a gun you will like and continue to like as you mature with PCPs. Carbine is my favorite P-rod set-up. I don't even consider mine a pistol although I've tried it that way to give it a fair chance. If money really is the issue, maybe you should consider buying used, but if you do, be sure to have them shoot a full mag group at 25 yards or further from a good bench rest and send you a picture.Or maybe your 1377 carbine already fills that niche.Ray
I like my Talon Pistol, it is quiet with a R&L Shroud, it is accurate, it has a shoulder stock, & I can change calibers to a .22 in 15 minutes or less. I do not like the small air tank. My biggest regret is selling my MROD .25, but I fixed that today and bought MRod Talon Tunes extended baffle; a machined aluminum de-pinger, with one of Norm's stocks. Norm has a great thumb hole stock and am glad I am getting one again.
The Talon Pistol is quiet. I added an R&L shroud. That alone is $118. Yes you will be getting a good deal. You will not get 20 shots with my Oring mod, but you should get something like this:Shot 1 880.20 43.71Shot 2 883.80 44.07Shot 3 885.10 44.20Shot 4 887.50 44.44Shot 5 898.30 45.52Shot 6 889.50 44.64Shot 7 887.20 44.41Shot 8 889.30 44.62Shot 9 883.80 44.07Shot 10 873.70 43.06Shot 11 871.10 42.81Shot 12 866.30 42.34Shot 13 861.90 41.91Shot 14 856.40 41.38Shot 15 851.50 40.90Shot 16 846.90 40.46Shot 17 840.90 39.89Shot 18 831.70 39.02Shot 19 823.30 38.24Shot 20 818.10 37.76I want to be totally upfront with everyone.
