In my Applications...I see a blue folder icon...labeled Hawke Chairgun...but it has a red circle with a white minus inside. If I click on it it...it goes to open in finder....then the whole thing repeats...like I said, earlier.

I do have a couple of Macintoshes that I use a lot, one running Macintosh System Software 7.5.5, and one running Mac OS 9.2.2.OSX is the Mac version. You are running older software in fact os9 is called classic.Get into the 21st century man, os9 is so 1999.....I am one of the many that oposed Mac OS X as being non Macintosh. As Macintosh is defined by the implementation of QuickDraw, and Color QuickDraw and the related low level API. While OS X has a high level API based on QuickDraw it does not have the low level API, and even the high level QD like API it does have is just a layer running on a different Graphics Engine. That and OS-X is not capable of running any Macintosh applications natively.QuoteBut I don't think chair gun runs on power pc machines..That is PowerPC.And beings as the Windows version runs on a JVM (Java Virtual Machine) and thus is not even a windows version, I would expect it to be made available with out any application wrapper. If it were made available as a Java Application I would have no trouble running it as it requires Java 2.1 or later which is bundled with Mac OS 8.1 and later on the PowerPC (not available for 680x0 machines). So if they would distribute the Java application by it self it would work on many more Operating Systems with out these dificulties. It is a Java Application with a wrapper to quick load it after all, so just give us the raw Java Application.QuoteSo your machine would have to be a 2006 or newer Mac (intel based chip). If I want an Intel PC I will run Linux, FreeDOS, or Haiku-OS. And the new Apple computers are simple Intel PC's as evidenced by the fact that they will boot and run MS-DOS/PC-DOS]DR-DOS/FreeDOS natively. So I will not cal the Intel based Apple Computers Macintosh, they are Intel PC/AT compatible computers pure and simple. I would have had more respect for Apple if they went to ARM based desktops to save money, Intel x86 is not a good choice. On other CPU based DESKTOP computers my preferences are:PowerPC is Mac OS (7.1 through 9.2.2) or BeOS PowerPC.ARM (My favorate ) is RISC OS for me.680x0 is Macintosh or Atari TOS for me.
