I was sick of clean putty out too. And it was still too loud. Rubber mulch is nice. will you not place hole and have pieces of cardboard every where?
I might try rubber. Phone books don't last too long. Does the rubber have a strong odor? This would be for indoor use.
My rubber mulch floats so I put it in 5 gal water and use a small aquarium net and scoop out the mulch and the pellets stay in the bottom. Easy clean up. And if I ever cast my own I've got lots of lead.
No odor. I have the rubber mulch pellet trap in my living room. Single and don't have to worry about what a wife would have to say about airguns in the living room.I'll never go back to using duct seal/ballistic putty.
So do the pellets penetrate the rubber? I assume they don't bounce out the sides of the box?
This is awesome twofold! One, it is a cheap and easy pellet target. Two, i never knew the post office delivered free boxes. That is extremely helpful!

I think he means the cost of those boxes end up in the price of postage everyone pays.In a related note, misuse of USPS property is a crime. Not that they will catch you.

Like I said, I could be wrong.
