Well, I received the o-rings today, and did a quick test. I am leaving it pressurized overnight to see if it drops before I reassemble everything back together.I am quite impressed with how much pressure these o-rings can withstand though.I am a bit worried about the gauge and gauge block though, as it is just a bit askew from perpendicular to the tube. It is sealing well enough right now, I think, but I am worried that I somehow crossthreaded the fitting. It doesn't look like it will be that expensive to replace though, and it did show some corrosion, so it may not be a bad idea. I'll see how it is tomorrow first though before I do anything.I will also say that I really like amazon prime. I bought a bag of 100 of these orings for around $7 for the tube ones, and less than $5 for the gauge one (yes, now I have 99 spares for the gauge o-ring). Now if I could only find a cheap source for the transfer port o-ring!
I got everything back together, and the scope wasn't too far off. I checked velocities with the chrono, and it is all over the place. I think after having it apart, and putting it back together, the parts need to break in again. I did use some silicone shock oil for the hammer, and silicone grease for the o-rings, so I assume it needs to work through all the parts to become more consistent. I'll need to shoot it more often and then recheck after a few hundred rounds. It seems to be holding air well though, but I'll keep an eye on it. It was definitely a good experience tearing it apart and putting it all back together. I may still get some spare parts for the future, including that gauge.
well after some careful examination, I think it is actually the orings around the gauge block that are leaking. Or at least it is both. I will need to tear down the rifle to get to those, and I have the orings on order, so they should be here by Wednesday.
What did you do with the original fill adapter? I had corrosion on mine and just took it apart and cleaned/lubed it. Joe

JoeI've kept it as a spare. I used CLR on it, but it only helped a bit - part of the problem is that the foster fitting and check valve are so small. I consider the replacement an upgrade. I also hope to be checking it more often, so hopefully if it does start to corrode, I will be able to manage it well. The last resort is to just order a new one from Crosman.
