Title: Crosman 1377 Mods.
Post by: Shoot Straight on January 02, 2012, 12:11:49 PM
My friend wants to know where you can find a steel breech, a 24" steel barrel, and how to do a power upgrade on a Crosman 1377 Pumpmaster.

Are you wanting to convert to .22 or keep it .177?
For .22 you can get a steel breech (p/n 1377-074) and 24" barrel (p/n 2260-003) from Crosman.
As far as power upgrades, there are flat top pistons available and even some members here that can possibly do the upgrade for you.
Happy Shooting!!!!

You can purchase both the steel breech and 24" barrel directly from Crosman. There are, however, many other aftermarket breeches available so do not rule them out. As for power modifications, the longer barrel in itself will increase FPE considerably, but if more power is needed, a Flat-Top Piston/Valve can be installed. The addition of a Disco hammer spring will allow you to pump more air into the gun and still dump it all out in one shot. If you do not own the tools to modify the valve, and make a new piston, again, there are many aftermarket ones available. I purchased my piston from CROSMODS, and my valve from Mellonair.com. Hope this helps your friend out.

Steel breech is part #1377SBPK for .1777 and 2240SBPK for .22 from Crosman. Just got mine in the mail last week.
Comes with a new bolt, rear cap, rear screw and 2 allen wrenches. you will reuse the small screw in the front (in the loading port area)

Sorry, it's been a while since I ordered mine. I was thinking I ordered the 2289 Backpacker breech but it was actually the butt stock and grip I ordered. And the 2240SBPK was what I bought for Goldfinger. Getting old, need to write this stuff down. Not only is this breech metal it has the dovetail the factory breech does not.
LOL

Does your firend have Internet access? There is a ton of information on modding a 1377 out there. Research is an important part of the journey into this hobby.
