It seems that there must always be rules and regulations and/or guidelines for everything. These are for the benefit of all and to make your GTA forums a better place to visit and have fun.
1- GTA staff members are the authority for the forum. Disrespecting or ignoring staff will get you a warning for the first offence. Second offence gets you a vacation from posting for 7-14 days. Third offence will cause you to lose all access to GTA forums. If there is an issue with a post or member, please report it to the forum staff.
2- Please have respect for differences in opinions with your fellow GTA members on your forums. After all, the forum is all about opinions
3- Subjects not related to airguns should be addressed in the “Back Room” or "Current Events" and not on the main forums. NO DISCUSSIONS OF RELIGIOUS OR POLITICAL SUBJECTS PERMITTED AT ALL.
4- Do not troll and please do not respond to Trolls. All it does is aggravates and encourages the problem. Those that do troll will be banned.
5- If you have items for sale, you are welcome to post them on the “Classified” page but please do not post them on other forums. They will be deleted from the main forum pages. Photos of the ACTUAL item for sale along with asking price are mandatory items. See the sticky in the Announcement Gate for guidance on posting pictures. No chit chat allowed in a classified post. If you have questions or comments, do so through personal message or email. Chit chat will be deleted and warning message sent to the offender.
6- Foul language, pornography, sexually explicit material and any provocative photo’s is strictly forbidden. They will be deleted and you may be banned.
7- Offensive pictures, racial slurs, and character insulting will not be tolerated and can be cause for being banned. (Including rule #6)
8- No dealer promotions by commercial and/or On-Line stores please. If a member has some information regarding “good buys”, “deals” or “promotions” that he has found, he may pass that info on by way of the “Bargain Gate”.
9- Non-commercial persons may advise members of their wares within reason but may not discuss pricing except in the “Classifieds”. Either e-mail them or go to their website. (This may change if it is abused)
10- Picture depicting hunting are welcome as well as other related airgun pictures but should be accompanied with comments or a narrative. Share your experiences with other GTA members. Be aware of your state laws regarding hunting and taking of game. Posting illegal kills can get you prosecuted.
11- Any material posted that is illegal, immoral or unethical will be deleted.
12- Any discussion regarding Silencers is strictly forbidden. Silencers for the most part are illegal in the United States and are either strictly regulated or against the law both Federal as well as many States. Discussing them can lead to cause for investigation for all involved in the discussion as well as our forum. THEY WILL BE DELETED!!!!! Shrouds and Muzzle Brakes are acceptable.
13- Personal attacks on individual airgunners, dealers and tuners are strictly forbidden. If you have issues with them, then they should be addressed one on one. Do not create a “war zone” on your forums. Take your issues up directly with them and do not launder them here on the GTA forums.
14- No cross-posting. Decide WHICH gate fits your post best and post ONLY one thread. Do not post the same thread in multiple gates. Duplicates will be deleted.
15- Private Messages (pm) are just that, PRIVATE. If any pm's are posted in the gates the poster will be banned and message deleted.
16- NO multiple user accounts. We screen all new accounts and verify they are not associated with present members. If a temporary banned member attempts to set up a new account to get back in, it can and probably will be a permanent ban when detected.
All rules are enforced by the Forum owners, admins and moderators with discretion as needed. Those that habitually offend there rules may be banned from the GTA forums.
