Fellow members in the next day or so it is possible we could be offline for a few hours on and off, we are upgrading our forum and adding some security issures to our site, seems we have some one out there or maybe more than one that is intent on trying to steal passwords on this forum from all of us, even the staff so you are not alone, at the present time all seems ok but we are taking measures to secure this forum and the members of it. From what I know of it we will have a more secure way to log in also. Thanks the GTA STAFF

WOW, this place is almost as hard to get into as Fort Knox! What the heck is up with the game you HAVE to play just to log on? For Pete's sake. First it was all the segregation of stuff in an endless number of gates and now this. Lots of nice folks here and good info, but this forum is getting too complicated for me. Wish y'all had a forum that was as easy to use as the Crosman Green forum or Ol' Yeller.

Andy, it's not THAT hard to log in. Yes, there are 3 pictures to rotate and enter your user/password TWICE to get in. After you do, just select stay logged in? We had a serious hack attempt by an internet bot that if successful, could have stolen members info or shut us down completely.
Personally, I think that what we the members have built here is worth a little extra login protection. And we the staff listened to what MEMBERS wanted and added the gates to try and keep it a MEMBERS site. But we all know it's impossible to please everybody. But we sure try.

For some reason I don't have to do the "Log in" thing on my home computer. I didn't even have to do it once.
At the library sometimes I need to "Log in" two or three times before I can access GTA. And then log in again every hour or so.

Just wondering why on one of my computers i have to log in twice and on another i just click on the site and it just lets me right in without the 3 symbol rotations and doing it twice?Any thoughts?

Probably the cookies are being deleted. You might have a clean up program that deletes cookies as well as a number of other things. You will have to put selected cookies in a safe place so the clean up does not touch them.
The program "ccleaner" will enable you to do this, it would be the easiest way.

Yes, I have to admit it was very frustrating to log on and to the point where I was ready to say screw it to GTA but then I clicked on keep me logged in. All is good and I understand why it is that way
