I note that Beeman is selling their coated HP's for cheap in .177. I paid 3.99 for 500 at P.A. That's $12 for 2000 doing their deal.

These are like the Silver Bear's and they are what I've been using on my starling kill. My Benjy loves them and the Crosman 2400kt loves them. I was just shooting it on my indoor "range" and at 10 yds off a tripod it's 6 pellets in a .22 hole. At 48' it's 6 holes all touching, half the size of a dime. And just to see how I was once I warmed up, I put 2 in the same hole 1/8" off bull. These are light but with considerable knockdown power. They do tend to over-penetrate for HP's but I'm pretty sure that if I hit good bone on a big enough bird, they'll do just fine transferring energy.

Sidenote: I did test them for penetration through 4.5" of PA shipping foam and two pieces of cardboard and packing tape. I figured the pellet would stop at the back of the foam. Nope. Right on through. I put two pieces of duct tape in front. 4 in the middle, and 2 at the rear and tried two more shots through. The first still made it through but the second shot through a cold gun stopped at the back tape. I don't know what fps I'm shooting at, but the pellets aren't deforming too much even as they seem to really dig through their target.  If you need them to squash flat, these aren't for you.

For Wally World shoppers....dasiy 177 pells are $2 for 300, Crossman 250 for $2. You pay tax but no shipping.
PA is good for $100+ orders. $100 is a lot of pellets.

I have serveral gun,s that love them an also the dasiy h-p. also the beeman wadcuuter an pointed shoot great out of some of my gun,s. great shooting pellets an low cost a no brainer !!!.
