That's very cool. Why don't they just reproduce that now and make all the big bore fanatics out there even happier? lol

Thank's Darius that was very informative(an I'm an old gun crank). Wouldn't that be a great air gun for someone to reproduce, I know I'd buy one in a heart beat if they could keep the cost under a grand.

You are very Welcome Jay. Next time someone says something silly to me about why I "Play" with Airguns I'll give them a nice history lesson.

Something about that video made me want a Crosman Rogue  haha

That's 1500 pumps for 22 rounds at full regulated power on a very big bore! And produced in 1790! Maybe we haven't come as far as we think? Seems the rogue had a predecessor, but without the electronics!

That is 1500 pumps for a claimed "40 shots before loosing noticeable
muzzle velocity" 2:23

It seems that most folks are too busy looking at the pretty rifle
to actually hear the BS that this guy is claiming the rifle is capable
of.

Come on, 40 shots on a 800psi fill, and no noticeable loss in velocity?

I'm raising the BS flag at that as well.  I cant see how that is possible.  Plus claiming it can go thru a 1" board at 100 yards??? wow.

I remember reading about Lewis and Clark using air rifles but never saw what the gun looked like.  I would of loved to see how they put the air in that gun.

There is discussion they maybe have the actual air gun used by L&C - not sure.  I've been reading about this for several years now.  I read the book "Undaunted Courage" over 10 yrs ago where I first learned they used an air gun.  Impressed I was, and been wanting to get involved in "real" air guns since.  Just other day got my first PCP - a Mrod.

Amazing the history of air guns - USA and in Europe.
