Had a chance to spend some range time with it and wanted to pass along what I saw. It is a very cool piece of hardware!

Very interesting article, thanks for posting it. Any idea what price range they are anticipating for the rifle?

Kathud!
I'm pretty sure this technology will find its way into much less ambitious rifles eventually, namely .22, .177, and .25 calibers.
Should allow quite a few more shots out in the field.

i agree... imagine what a success it would be to have your marauder MPR in .22. I would for sure get one. it may be about half the price from a daystate...

Thanks for the heads-up on the new AG. However, I doubt that I would ever have much need for one. Too complicated and I like to keep things simple.
And walking around in my backyard with one would most likely send the nieghbors running for the phones to call 911.

This ones obviously destined to bring some of the PB guys over to our side and I suppose it will appeal to some of the more active hunters among us and those of us that have deeper pockets for their toys , but I really don't think too many of us have a need for that much power in an AG. Yes, it seems pretty revolutionary for the big bore crowd, I just hope the technology trickles down to the small bores.

amen to that. Not a problem buying a marauder with an electronically controlled regulator... and built in gauge... sort of a cheap daystate.

Really? That's what all the fuss is about? It's very cool, but I agree not practical for "most" of the airgun crowd. I already have the tools necessary for killing large game at long distance, and they don't need air or batteries...
. I'm a backyard airgun guy, for pest control and having a little shooting fun. This is like if chevy came out with a 1000 HP production Z-71 with 56" tires....very bad azz but I don't see my self buying one of those either. Again, nothing against big bore AG's and the guys that shoot them; I just hope they have something for the rest of us.

......"Yes, it seems pretty revolutionary for the big bore crowd, I just hope the technology trickles down to the small bores."
Heck no, they can keep all that "TECHNOLOGY" far away from any airguns I would buy. That would [to me] overcomplicate a simple and durable design and take the dependability and self suficiency out of a tried and true design.
I worked on R.V.'s for 18 years, and [lets take a fridge for example] there was absolutly no electronics in the appliances. Yep you had to light pilot lights, but the worked for yeeeeeeeeears, if maintained, and usually when not![ I know a few of you have or have had older / newer R.V,'s]
Then some Jack%#@@ decided it needed TWO p.c. boards auto ignition, buzzers if the door isnt latched, self diagnostics,[ to help find the now possible probems that used to be non-existing] etc. etc. The dependability drove off a cliff overnight. They just [as of 3/4 years ago] got a decent handle on that part but would YOU wan't to pay $300.-$400 for a p.c. board after your extended warranty is up? Now add diagnostic time and labor. [But that was great job security for us
]
No thank you.

Thanks Jim. Wring it out for us and tell us all the good and bad. I am so glad Crosman desires to be on the cutting edge and I think many of their developments are going to trickle down the pipe to all of us. Looking forward to more innovation from Crosman.

ITS just a matter of time before they start slapping new laws on us airgunners,me i dont have any big bores in the stable but may have in the future just on curiousity currently working on a 4 pcp project (talks tho)but out in california i cant hunt big game with a air rifle only pest(yotes) so a .45 /.50./58 cal is a waste of my money .But i have a strange feeling more focus will be paid attention to airgunning especially in C.A when this rouge hit the market and new laws will come out .Out here we have a law stating in feb 1 2011 we cant purchase ammo via internet or catalog for hand guns i didnt know about this till i got my cabelas mag and read that.So just be prepared for some Big B.S.
