5mm / .20 caliber webley valuemax

i just got mine scoped.   $170 shipped from webley and scott website.    chrono-ing 730 fpsw/ 13.5 grain jsb domes and it's still climbing.  trigger is about like the new gamo triggers and it is pretty hollow inside but if we can tame that down and get the trigger lightened up, it may be the new .20 caliber craze......  i know i have accumulated so many .20 pellets that this will work out fine ( i just hope it groups well).

If the webley branded stock is like the Hatsan Striker (same gun, different stock) it will be completely open under the butt pad so very easy to fill with foam.
Cdt's grt-3 trigger fits them, but the blade is a lot shorter than the factory one.

786 average w/ 11.4 grain FTT's and really accurate when i can get the trigger to do just the same exact thing.....    it's a small, carbine-like gun the packs some power.    anywhere around 800 fps w/ .20 means 60 yard trajectory (w/11 -13 grainers)  .    i really like mine so far and i haven't even opened it up yet.....    probably a six lb gun.   relatively easy to cock.

I really liked mine from stock too, LOVE it now I've lubed it with a new seal and modded the trigger!

.....i would get one or two of these things while you can....... history shows they'll import a few sterlings, a few dianas,   ....better get some now while you can get an 800 fps .20 for under $170.    mine's sweet - loves ftt's - just like WTM loves .22 FTT's.

this one shoots great.    i'll post the groups later.     seems like a great deal so far.   icing on the cake would be that it would like the newer .20 cylindricals.    just ran 3 shots through the chrony...w/ 11.4 grain FTT's (which are "dang" near $20 / tin....but they are good pellets - especially in .20 / 5mm).   800 fps, 797, 798.  better get them while you can, guys.   looks like a 17" barrel - handles very well.

why is it so easy to go through .20 ammo ?    i once had an xs-25 or some chinese gun model # was 25, but it wasn't the rws 34 clone - it was a medium power chinese springer.    that thing was a "gem", as duane in new hamshire put it.    warren chilton did the the work, it was smooth tuned and rebarreled w/ a .20 lw match (choked).   the thing 600 fps w/ every pellet - didn't matter the weight - 600 fps (30-33 yards trajectaory).......warren chilton................that dude was good.    the trigger arrangement in this .20 webley reminds me of that chinese model 25.    that gun was so smooth, going through a 200 ct tin of wadcutters or (that thing loved crowmags) - i think ed brown (tidbitbrown) ended up w/ that shooter.   well, these .20 webley valuemax (which i understand to be a striker model (1000 maybe), are a huge bang for the buck.    the barrels f****** rock, guys.    after the trigger is partially overcome, i had some cloverleaf groups at 50 yards (2-3 out of five would be .25" c-t-c......that trigger can be worked outi have not opened it up.   i used some honda molly-lube (the 60% tube/canister) and applied about a tea spoon via a plastic zip-tie, as to get it all around the back-side of the tube also - i used less than a beer tab-full and used the rest on the trigger.  honda molly is good lube lube when velocity cannot be compromised (a tad too much can still way slow down a cometa) .    it's a good sign that mine chronos over a 5 fps spread w/out even me havineng to hone it or cross-hatch it; and, i have noticed that there have been much less burrs embedded into the piston seals when coming new from turkey.    you'll feel the quality of the barrel when shove about 100 pellets through it.     it was slow, 675 fps (sheridan speeds) w/ the cylinders - but easy 800 fps w/ fts/ftt pellets.    get one while you can, men.    its a real thumper in .20 for under $200 - and no pumping and no b.s.

If you can find one the stock from a Striker 1000X will fit straight on.

   am i that different - or are there any others out there who jumped at the under$200 price of owning a decenent .20 break-barrel that accurately shoots an easy 800 fps w/ 11.4 ftt's ?      i love mine.     i'll proprely tune it when i get caught up w/ other's stuff.   those little things would rock if joao from american arms could make a gas ram for it.

excellent airgun.     .20 webley vaulemax.    i am not certain if webley has EVER put their name on a .20 gun (heard rumours of .20 cal patriot and i seem to remember seeing a reference to a .20 patriot in a bluebook to airguns,,,,,,,,,,,,  but other than that guys, this could be the first .20 webley/scott actually produced.    and i just love mine - i love it.....plastic and all.......    haven't had time to take mine all the way down yet, but i did slot-tune w/ about 1 bottlecap full.    used most w/ a plastic zip-tie and applied it to the lower mainspring, and i used the last 1/4 of bottle cap molly (the honda shop 60% canister type) on trigger.    this little hot-rod has been the most fun i have had since oct.    6.4 lbs, man !!!!        800 fps or just a few under (mine usually gets 798,797,801.....all really close)  .     i wish i could buy a case or two and tune them for sale.    i got mine for $170 shipped, man !!!    that was the best part.     barrel on mine is dead-nuts accurate.    now you can have a stock airgun that shoots w/ the performance compareable to an r-9 w/ vortek kit - and the webley is much lighter.      820 fps w/ 11.4 grain = 17 ftlbs   ..... and about 65 yards trajectory...........................awesome................    i'm just shocked i don't see others mentioning theirs.       GREAT MOVE, DERICK AT WEBLEY !!    these .20 cals will fill a much needed gap in airgunworld !!     - paul d self of rane air.

If you can find one the stock from a Striker 1000X will fit straight on.

With a little bit of mucking around a Stoeger or most likely even a Crosman stock would fit the Striker/ValueMax and would let you use the GRT trigger.

Thanks for the information.  I just received the ValueMax .20, still dieseling (only fired twice, 900fps and 850fps with 11.4gr FTTs), just wanted to make sure it worked.    Just like Paul said, very light and easy to handle. 

 I plan on tearing it down and doing the standard debur, lube only at this time, may tackle the trigger later.   The Turkish walnut on the Striker 1000x does look sweet.
