Look here Randy Mitchell came up with the idea

http://www.network54.com/Forum/79537/thread/1327607656/Hey+Steve%21+Could+we+Cash+Mob+someone-+I+vote+we+do+it+to+Mike+Melick%21

Nathan
I also found it on Randy's own forum associated with his own store...That to me signifies a Business Gentleman who would go out of his way to help another (like) business.
Perhaps we should C.M. Randy next month.
I just hope things are working out well for Flying Dragon this week!!!

I know times are tough for everyone but here it is Thursday and this thread has dropped dead ! It's been read over 500 times..
Help them worth helping!
XS25h's for $158 ? Tuned? with scope ??? C-mon !
02-02-2012 ::: XS-25H in .177
comes with full tune and 4X32AO scope and mounts, regular price is $198.95. ON SALE for $158.95 shipped
http://airgunartisans.com/flyingdragon/
Mike is and has been such an asset to the community that we would all lose if he ever went out of business. The bonus, His tunes are second to none.
If I sound like I'm taking this personally you're right. I just went out of (a different) business after 4 years of offering great products and as best as possible service to the likes of Pyramyd air types of competition.

My cash mob came when I put out the 80% off signs. Lots of "sorry to hear" and "you were great" They were sincere but it was too late.
So you see my attachment to Mike's Cash Mob and it's results.

Maybe just too many Chinese spring guns for too many years already owned by this target audience?

As posted on page 1, I would buy the XS60 co2 Rifle today if it had the factory fixes and was actually in the States, been trying to buy it for 6 mos. Mike says it isn't fixed yet and it isn't shipped yet.

Maybe just too many Chinese spring guns for too many years already owned by this target audience?

That's where the newbies come into play, yours truly included.  The XS-25H for $158 sounds great!  Wait...what the heck is a XS-25H?  Looked on Mike's site..no go.  Tried Xisico, they show a 25, but no 25H.  Maybe it's there and I missed it, but that in itself could be telling.

Life is about convenience.  Make it easy for newbies to buy and you've acquired new business.

How valuable is that business?

I've been shooting for decades and recently got interested in airguns 4 weeks ago.  Now, I tend to dive in and I'll sell off other "toys" when the family and I trading hobbies.  So the timing was right.  In 4 weeks time, I bought a tuned B-26 from Mike on the 9th.  I also bought 6 other rifles and two pistols.  To be fair, the one pistol I've wanted for well over a year and the other was a Crosman 600 I found at a flea market.  Two of the other rifles were used CO2s, previously tuned by Mike.  The rest came from Randy, etc.

Anyway, what I'm saying is that if someone can get Mike to accept help creating a more detailed web site and marketing, it would be like "teaching him to fish".  I am all for an influx of cash to help Mike and I did my part 2 weeks ago.  I'd be happy to help Mike with targeting newbies and what we need to see, etc.  As a marketing and operations professional, as well as a habitual newbie, I think I can help.  I talked with him and he's very nice, but I'm not sure he'd accept my offer right off, being we don't know each other that well.

Anyway, let me know what I can do, and I'm all in.

Yep. I suspect less than a third of what Mike has to offer is visible anywhere, much less details about it. I think I will call him about those Rex scopes tomorrow (always need more scopes) but it would be nice to just look up the skinny and order the one I want.

I'd like to help with the Cash Mob, just point me to something I need!

I also have to agree.  If someone recommended Flying Dragon Air Rifles and I was a total newbie.  I would visit the website and be almost totally confused at what I was looking at.

I totally agree. It's not well set up for E-commerce Sale guns should at least have a link to pics and specs. An Order button ??? I'm no webmaster.
But just maybe an influx of money and some help could fix that?

The worst (small biz) websites are almost always the specialty/niche product and services types because... they are typically created by the specialty/niche biz owners who don't have a casual customer or newbie, or marketing perspective. "if you found me, you must know what you want, don't phone me, I'm busy with your order"  was on the home page of one such firearms trigger tuner site, no longer in biz for obvious reasons!

Got my order placed for the Rex 4-12x40 AO, and Mike says it will ship out next week. I will be interested to see it, and post impressions.

I "need" a 6X fixed, short scope.  What I need to know is, Eye Relief.  I'm looking for 3.5" or better.  I'd try a Rex, if I could get good specs on it.

I don't mind doing some reasearch, but with teens and toddler, there just isn't a lot of time for that.

My 6 year old told her teacher that daddy looks at guns on the computer all night.  I was searching for airguns!!  Only a matter of time before Family Services comes by  :o

These are specs on the ones Mike has on order: http://www.rexoptics.com/html/product7.html

I guess he can get any of them, but not all are springer rated. I ordered this:

They have side focus, but apparently not for springers.

Well, I'm a newbie ( an old newbie)and ordered my first air rifle with scope from Mike after reading on here for a good while that Mike is a good, honest  man to deal with, and will treat you right. I looked at his web site and after finding no way to place an order on line. I called Mike and he said he wanted to talk to each person. I have no problem with that.  He is out of the qb78 at this time, but they should be in very soon. As a plinker, I am waiting for the rifle to come in and I will buy a case of pellets from him.  With so many people in Mike's corner, I feel sure he will do fine. His work has to be good or there would be some bad reports. Wes

If I remember correctly, you were having some problems cocking your springer? I have problems cocking with my springers, bought a QB78 deluxe which I truly love to shoot, but recently bought a B12 (XS12) from Mike. The B12 is a low power springer running about 550 FPS in .177. This is the first springer I can cock and shoot for hours with no arm problems. At around $82 (no scope, but tuned) you might also consider buying one from Mike.
I must warn you of two things-the B12 has a long trigger pull, and it is addictive to shoot!

Pow Ding, your memory is fastastic. Yeah I have another body part that has woreout, my elbow, among other we will not talk about. I will have a serious look at the rifle you mentioned. I have a Henry 22, but it is a little loud to shoot when the neighbors are home. I do live in the "sticks" on a couple acres , but I have to get along with the ones on either side of me. Take care Wes

Woreout, I have tendonitits in both elbows and shoulders, though it's worse in the elbows.  Finding a better technique has helped me work with springers.

However, I also traded a firearm locally for two QB78s and they are fun as all get out to shoot!  No matter which direction I go, I'll never get rid of them.  Just to simple and fun to shoot.  Scoped and accurate!  All that said, they were both tuned by Mike Melick, fo Flying Dragon Airguns might be the way to go for them.  My 177 was power tuned, etc.  The 22 was reliability tuned only.  I need a chrono, because that 177 seems to be really hummin'.
