i will check the trigger on my m417. it feels a lot lighter than 4lbs. if that matters to ya.
to me that is a large part of shooting any gun accurately. mine shoots less than dime sized groups across a bag at 15yds. approximately 575fps with 7gr at 10 pumps and 640fps at 20 pumps. i get tired just typing 20 pumps lol
I have owned an 880, 2100, and even a 22 SG. The 2100 would be my choice hands down but please do go with those cheap 4x15 scopes that come with it. If you can spend a $90 ish go for the daisy 22 SG. It comes already with a decent scope and is 22 cal. It will kill upto squirrel size game out to about 25-30 yards. Also I have never owned a springer that wasn't hold sensitive .

Don't wanna throw that much money out on a beater gun that won't get much use after I get a nitrogen filling station built for my mrod. What makes the 2100 better than the 880 in your opinion? Thanks.

Thanks. I've owned a total of two 880's and two 2100's. The 2100's I've owned felt better on the shoulder to me and feel to have better build quality. Both of my 2100's where more accurate than my 880's. The first 880 I had the seals failed and it wouldn't hold air after a year of use. The second one I had no problems with after owning it for 2 years but gave it to my nephew who is still using it today making that gun 4 years old. IMO the 2100 is hard to beat and the only other AG pump I'd take that's under a 100 bux would be the 22 SG.
My choice would be the 2100. Simple power mods are available lile a flat top piston.

I have an 880 that is a great backyard rifle. It works best with Predator pellets and a head shot. It is extremely accurate. I added a 1 inch spacer to the butt and made a LDC for the front. Couldn't do much for the trigger.
