Wow, if that's true, it would seal the deal for me. Good find, but we have learned the hard way about these introduction dates in the past

I have a Trail NP .22 all weather and it was pretty dirty also I guess thats what you get when they are made in China. But the gun is a great shooting gun ,I got mine from PA for $199 with a 500 tin of CPHP also.I guess the pistol will be from China also.

I'm disappointed that it's only 500 fps. Which means a 7.9g pellet will shoot in the low 400's

Were did ya find that spec? Please share.
Remember it's a pistol ...if the the FPS gets to a certain point you have to either make it bigger to accommodate the larger ram or the barrel gets longer to overcome the cocking force or both.In which you are now embarking upon the likes of a carbine.
Oh how we want it all.....Lol. Life is too short !
So Why not wish for a 22.cal 8" break barrel pistol that slings Eun JIn 28.4 gr. pellets @ 900 FPS Needs only 7 pounds of cocking force and is quiet as mice peeing on cotton.
I'd buy it.
I just wish Crosman would package it in a box. To me , it shows a different quality that those infernal blister packs can't. Was a time when everything came in a box .
And the artwork was really cool too!
(The pic Below is not mine..just pulled it off the web to Illustrate a point. Enjoy.)

The blog had some verbal specs:
http://www.crosman.com/croswords/?p=2298
Hard to compare overall length to, say, a P5, but I agree that upping the velocity would make it hard to cock.
I'll withhold judgement on all the new items until more details become available. Excited about a couple, interested in following a few more, but they are all just phosphor at the moment.

I don't know where on Crosman's website I read it, but i'm sure that it was 500. To be honest, I'm fine with 500 fps, but with such a short barrel i'm afraid of pellets being inaccurate and tumbling.

Yeah, it's quoted in the Crosman blog of "500 fps" if you scroll down to the Trail NP pistol entry at...
http://www.Crosman.com/Croswords
Sorry, I would post the actual link, but my phone is a p.o.s. and 4 years old
Anyways, yeah, pretty disappointing @ 500 fps max. Heck, my cheapo $68 Umarex Ruger Mark 1 springer claims 600 max, and it's true. Crosman should've had another option w/ a bigger piston & longer barrel/cock-assist & at least 600 fps. I leave cock-assist on my Ruger and works fine.

Oops, I overlooked @daveshoot's link.
While I'm here, I'll say this:
I am a Crosman fan, and I'm excited for this pistol for the money, but we all know there's some awesome $200 break barrel pistols out there with semi-magnum velocities. Also, with my cheapo Umarex Ruger Mark 1, I'm shooting quarters (usually) at 25 yrds on a foam gun rest, even with the CP scope that's listed below. Could be my contacts, or my nerves, or partly from not getting a Mark 1 lemon. Just my .02c worth rave about the Mark 1.

If you are just going to use it for plinking and paper targets isn't 500 FPS plenty.I have a friend with the Crosman 357W and it onlly shoots 435 FPS and it is a great shooting pistol for the money.

I was really hoping it would be along the lines of a Browning 800 mag, just with the nitro piston. Looks like my party has been pooped on. I guess I will stick with modding my 1377 and 2240.
