I expect I'll have a 1322 as soon as I make my 2240 into a 1740! ;D Looks to me like everything is interchangeable, so I'm gonna give it a shot.

Gentlemen...

I just received my new Crosman 1322... what a nice piece for under $60.  Now here is the issue....  I ordered a set of the MT459 mounts to mount my new NCStar DLRB40 RedDot Laser site - another nice piece:

459MTC - 3/8" mount

DLRB40R - Built in Quick Release Mount for use with most Weaver Style/Picatinny rails

The sight is no where close to fitting on the mounts - huge gap - not even close.

How do I mount this site on this gun?  What parts do I need?  Sources?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

I would just get a steel breech. The stock breech really wont hold the scope/red dot for long without making the barrel loose.

That sight has a Weaver style mount (5/8") and the mounts you got are dovetail (3/8"). Something like this might work with your mounts, but I would just get the steel breech and an adapter better. http://www.amazon.com/BKL-Dovetail-Weaver-Adapter-Matte/dp/B0036JV8Z8/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1328419053&sr=8-6

Mike: would you recommend the mellon-air FT valve & piston for the 1377?

What's the primary diff between that set-up and the OEM parts?

Any hint or tips on installation?

Re: 1322 IS BACK!! - And I need HELP
« Reply #32 on: February 10, 2012, 09:41:05 PM »
I'm really having a bummer time with this project.  So I got the UTG Weaver adapter and I thought it was going to work.  Well with it mounted on top of the Crosman 459MT 13mm barrel mounts - I can't get it tight enough to hold.  At first I thought the clamps were not tight enough so I put some friction tape on the inside of them... still the scope wobbled.  Then I discovered that the clamps were not loose - the whole barrel was turning slightly from side to side.  Is this normal?

I really need some help.  On your picture it looks like the scope is mounted directly to the Weaver mount to the breech.  How do I do that?  If I get the Crosman metal breech, will I be able to mount the scope or the weaver adapter directly to the breech?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated with parts and URL's that I can check out.

Thanks in advance.

OK... So I have the same adapter... now, what breech would you recommend?  Is it easily changed out - something I can do with standard tools?  And then will the adapter fit tightly enough to hold the scope steady?

thanks again

One more question... where did you get the longer barrel and the muzzle brake?  Are they readily available?

Thanks

Get the steel breech from Crosman if they offer it, so far I haven't seen it on their site. The 2240 and the 1377 are available. The plastic breech has no set screw for the barrel like the steel breech, that's why it rotates inside the breech. The weight of your scope or red dot is too much for the friction fit.

Why Weaver or piccatiny? A steel breech needs a two piece dovetail mount anyway to allow clearance for the loading port and for the pellet to go in. OK, here's a posting from another forum, this guy has the Crosman steel breech

http://www.californiapredatorsclub.com/lofiversion/index.php?t25751.html

Call Crosman and ask about the steel breech for the 1322.

Thanks Brian... btw... I was born in Idaho at Mt Home AFB.  Nice country!

I'm just trying to get a good solid mount for the site... and would love to find some affordable oversized grips and pump handle.

thanks again.
