Took my Beeman Sport Aperture out for a test drive today and I couldn't be happier. Shot this match several times with a 4x scope this month and blew away those scores with the peep. I'm most amazed by the very first target, I swear there are 4 shots there. Dunno how I pulled that off or if I'll ever be able to do it again, but there it is.

Shooting started to get a little sloppy at the 4th bull so I took a break. Figured I'd measure out 25yds for the next match and learned I was shooting the first 4 bulls of this match at 55 ft, so I moved the target 5 ft closer for the last 2 bulls. Didn't improve my scores much after the move, it was getting hot and I was getting tired. Dunno if I'll keep shooting this at 50ft or 55ft. There's a convenient mound of dirt at the 55ft mark that holds my pellet trap at the perfect height, so I'm thinking I'll just stick with 55... time will tell on that one. Moving my seat isn't an option, there's a garden in the way.

Scoring gauge came in real handy for the close calls, I highly recommend one.

Had a bit of trouble with scoring b/c I can't get clean holes with these pellets. Tried 3 diff. wadcutters but no luck. These pointed pellets are only $2 per tin of 250 at WalMart and the gun loves them but they don't cut a clean hole. May have to try some other paper or a diff backer. Using corrugated cardboard now.

wms, pointed pellets make some ugly holes that's for sure. I use corrugated cardboard for a backer too, but I also use 65lb card stock to print the targets out on. Picked up a ream at staples a while back, can't remember the cost but the heavy paper cleans things up a bit. Even so, the pointed pellets still make ugly holes. No big deal, score 'em as well as you can.
