I only have one thumbhole stock. Its on the Trail NPXL 1100. It seems to fit me well and I like the looks of it. The rest of my guns have conventional stocks, and I like them too.

I have the titain thumbhole stock and I love it, just seems to make it easier to hold steady on target than conventional stocks. I also have winchester 70 in .264 win mag with a 4x16 centerpoint scope, that stock has some really rich wood grain and is very light, it can hit a deer at 600 yrds as long as you do your part, that is part of the reasons I love thumbhole stocks so much... plus they just look cool....

The only thumb hole I have is the XL 1500. I think that it is so great I have a Retay 100x ordered. I think the thumb hole stock is the best thing since ice cream.

Thumb holes are nice for people like me, shorter people. I find that many stocks pistol grips are too long for me and it causes me to strain to reach the trigger and hurts my wrist. With the thumb hole, often times the grip is almost totally vertical and that allows you to get a more comfortable wrist position

funny i was just wishing i had a thumbhole stock for my new stoeger x20.
i think they are more comfortable on the bench than a regular stock, and a more natural hold overall .anyone know of a thumbhole for stoeger let me know.

Personally, a thumbhole stock is a deal breaker. Can't stand them. That is why I put a Rem Summit stock on my Benji Trail NP.

I wasn't much of a fan of thumb hole stocks untill I got my titan. The titans stock seems to kind of fit me almost perfect. I'm messing with kicking the recoil pad out a little and seems to be getting better in how it feels when I shoulder it

For most IMO it is personal preference. On the other hand if you look at most match FT guns they are thumbhole stocks.

Thumbhole stocks are like guns, ya either like them or you dont.
do they have a function, I think so. depending on the weight of the gun, they help when your carrying it when in the field hunting and it gives ya that extra grip when shooting.
so ya either like or dislike.
The one on my QB78 I like. I have a couple of Outdoorsman stocks made by treerathunter for the Cr2250 not really a TH stock, but the grip of the 2250 gives ya the same feel as a TH stock and being wood, the feel is better than the 1399 plastic stock.

I had two rifles with conventional stock (Slavia620 and Haenel312) and two with thumbhole stock (Umarex Wild Life and HW97) HW97 is a new one. For me, the more comfortable is a thumbhole stock, because I better hold on the gun trigger. But it is a matter of opinion and habit of each one of us.

Definitely. All my guns are pistol gripped. A fused broken wrist has made shooting a sporter stock very uncomfortable.

Can't stand them. The 2 I had cracked at the thumb grip point, the weak spot. I don't like the way they look at all. Give me a nice straight stock with smooth lines any day.

I have a couple of rifles with thumb hole stocks and I like them and find them fairly comfortable, but that being said I really prefer traditional stocks, they just seem to fit me better.

Either way, it has to feel right. I think I expect more from a thumbhole. On the other hand, the most comfortable grips I think I have are the grips on my target guns, which are sorta half between a thumbhole and not.
