Well, I have to admit that I did buy another Evanix gun. A Windy City and I am very happy with it. Time and pellets will tell if there is anything wrong with it. Side by side with others in the same price point. I'll go with the evanix.
The current stable
850 HPA .22
FX Monsoon .22 x2
Edgun R3 .25
Waiting on
FX Royale Elite .25

I have been shooting an Evanix Renegade for a year now, not so much as a hint of trouble out of it, just super reliable.  I'd buy another Evanix rifle in a heartbeat.   Any brand can be subject to defective guns occasionally, otherwise we wouldn't see so many complaints all over the airgun boards.   The shippers such as UPS are responsible for breaking stocks, and it isn't just airguns, look on the firearms sites and read the complaints.  Too much rough handling for fragile products.  I think UPS, Fedex and the USPS hire gorillas to toss their packages around.   ;D

They get them from the baggage handlers union at the airlines. Rememer the commercial years ago with the gorilla handling the bags? He is the head trainer now.

Reminds me of the old Looney Tunes cartoon about the Post Office, where all the windows at the front with different markings lead to one conveyor belt, and there are a bunch of hulking goons stamping the packages  using mallets and tossing them around everywhere!
