Is the Beeman RS2 rs2 a great deal for a $100?

Sure is..
I didn't get the one for 100 but it's the same platform as the one I have.
Mine came with a synthetic Monte Carlo stock and muzzle break.
Your going to love the RS2 trigger once you adjust it to your liking.
It has a true 2 stage trigger.
Plus you get two calibers. That thing shoots hard man!
If this is your only airgun I would jump right on it.

We've just started to get spare parts in stock for the Beeman RS2 family of air rifles - the range is expanding every week at http://www.@#$%^.com/Beeman-Air-Rifle-Parts-s/55.htm

And although we have no current plans to sell this gun - just can't beat Wal-Mart's pricing! - I do have a couple of the current 1073 models that I'm testing. I'll publish a full report once completed but initial impressions are:
- The finish looks good, particularly the wood.
- Muzzle velocity really is about the claimed 1,000 fps in .177 (that's a rare thing in the airgun world!).
- I like the RS2 trigger. It's heavy, but feels lighter than the pull weight. There's a good first stage and a clearly-defined second stage.
- The scope is OK for field shooting, but I'd choose an alternative for target shooting or close-quarters work.
- It kicks!
- No accuracy testing as yet...

If accuracy turns out to be reasonable or better (and I'm guessing it will), the Beeman RS2 has to be a strong contender in the $100-ish, 1,000fps air rifle market.

Well I was actually looking at "^&$@_=s" just the other day and was thinking about buying a replacement.177cal barrel for my RS2. And by the way my Beeman RS2 gets .50" groups at 30 yards with Predator Polymags. At 70yds. it can hit a metal pot just about every shot( The pot is about 6 to 7 inches across ) .

It should be. The Rs2 is an AR1000 clone.

Is this the one that walmart sells for 98 bucks ? been looking at this myself.... dual calibers is a killer for 100 bucks, i heard the barrel attachment is cricial to accuracy.

I've been eyeing this gun too.... It keeps saying, "Buy Meee!" when I go check to see if they have .22 caliber pellets in stock... I'd probably have fun breaking in the barrels and then leave the .22 barrel on...

Yes, this is the Wal-Mart $98, dual barrel gun.

Of course, it's not perfect and certainly would benefit from a better scope but - so far as my testing has progressed to date - it's a great gun for the money. I plan to spend some time on investigating what happens when barrels are changed and am still using the .177 as that's the barrel that was fitted when I obtained mine.

Hi again. Is there any other gun but RS2 that have the same pistonseal as the AR1000?like some spanish gun.Maybe some Maccari seal. We have parts for Cometa,Gamo and Norica in Sweden Tommy.

@ Stephan, the POI changes ever time you change the BBLs it even changes if you loosen and tighten the set screw on the same BBL. I had one of these and the spring broke badly after about 250 pellets, I found one at Jim's site that fit and gave it a full tune. I set it up on the .177 and zeroed it with the cheap walmart CP Pointed pellets. It shot very good and was very powerful, even more so after the tune. But I really hated the stock design and gave it to a friend. He loves it and says it shoots perfect every time and he is not even an AG enthusiast. If they could do something about that slab style stock it would be a great inexpensive gun.

Sr500 the Tech Force 89 is also an AR1000 clone it uses the same parts.
Switching barrels does change the POI by about 3/4 of an inch.
I saw this rifle at walmart and really liked what it offered but I felt just like DMikeM. That stock had to go before I even considered it. I got home to do some research on it and realized it had nothing but good reviews. Little more searching and I found this for $149.95 at Big 5. A single muzzle break from Beeman is 50 bucks. That extra 50 got a me a Synthetic Monte Carlo Stock and two muzzle breaks one on each barrel. I think the extra 50 was worth it.
It's the same platform but looks way better IMO.

the piston seal in my rs2 measures 1.135 inches the sring i don't know it is broken need them both

Was wondering if any of you who have the duel cal. can take a few close up picks of the breach block (opened and closed)?
