Has anyone purchased one of these?
They are about $65 at some walmarts (not all).

Packaging claims:
.177 cal
600 fps non lead alloy pellets
500 fps lead
25lb cocking effort
fiber optic sights (pink front, green rear)

Would appreciate it if someone could shed some light on these mystery pistols.
How accurate are they?
Hows the recoil?
Hows the safety? (is it like the browning 800 and will need to be sent back to mfg, due to a recall?)
Is the cocking force 25lbs w/ the cocking aid or w/o it?

Haven't been able to find anything online about them, I've tried walmart.com, umarexusa,... google...
Haven't found anything... :(

Not many if any sold yet, when at the factory last month they were assembling the pistols and getting them ready to ship. Typical springer pistol, the barrel is short so handles nice. I fired one a few times and they seem to shoot around the advert. specs with light pellets...

Picked up one at our local Walmart last Saturday. Only fired a handful of pellets thru it.
Smoked a lot!. And with the barrel cocking extension left on it was all over the paper at 5m in my baseement.
Taking the extender off I was able to keep all the pellets within a nickel, shooting sitting down off-hand.
Trigger is fairly smooth, but a long, long pull.  I'll try to find time for pics tonight.

Yeah, I saw one at the store and almost almost bought, but just spent more than $200.00 between a new EBOS, cable remote, CO2 bottles, adapter, etc.

Honestly at the end after more thought, I did not like it.

The BB is way too big, looks massive. If I get guns must be compact like the PPK/S.

So, Mike, what are these?  I mean, the Air Hawk is a Bam 25.  Is this the springer pistol you have at Best Air Guns?  25# is a LOT when you consider the short leverage.  I'll stick to my old Diana Model 5.  Easier on old hands.

Here are some pics of the Ruger Mark I .177 cal.
It says the cocking force is 25 lbs. But with the barrel extension it sure doesn't feel any harder to cock than my Quest. You remove the extender before firing... or it sprays shots like a shotgun.  ;D
On my basement short 5m range I got 5 shots all touching, resting the fore stock on my rifle rest. Haven't even cleaned the barrel yet. So it's got possibilities. A red dot sight and a nice little folding stock would make this a fun shooter!

Hey i think thats pretty sweet! ;)  Thanks for the pics. Can you cock it without the extender? Like that short barrel and grip. Do i see the lack of a scope stop?  Thanks,  J

So, is it on rails, or is the spring tube fixed to the grip?
Looks like a fun tackle-box gun.

Glad to hear I am not the only one who must have
an air pistol in or very near my tackle box. ;D

Anyone know if Charlie's trigger will fit in this?

If you removed the front sight you could probably cock it without the extender.
The tube is fastened to the grip with 2 side screws and 1 screw behind the hand grip.
No scope stop. But has nice deeply cut scope rails.  I've got a couple of 11mm to weaver offset mounts I might try one or just mount a BSA reddot with 11mm mount.
The recoil is pretty crisp, so we shall see if scope creep is a problem.

  Thanks for the reply Tdub,
i could see this gun with that front sight gone and a muzzle break installed, which would become a shroud on that short barrel. Would make it easier to cock but would elimainate the use uf the cocking aid. Which is good because i'd lose it anyways.

To bad there is no scope stop, Mike you got to set those guys straight over there, tell them only 3rd world countries make airguns without scope stops.. that ought to do it. ;)

They arn't at my walmart yet but the airhawks just arrived so it won't be long. Don't have any use for one of these at all actually but am sure i'll try one out when they arrive.  J

This looks interesting, are any of the other various air pistols in this price range?

It looks like it'd be good for rats. I've got a real rat problem, dozens skittering along the property fence in the evenings, and even getting into the attic and crawlspace of the house. I just can't track them with my airhawk.

The thing is huge, it is not the same to see it on pics.

I wish they would have made it more compact, or a few models to choose from.

Mike, I think I asked this before but my brain's gettin' old.  What are these based on?  Is it the same as the break barrel pistol you sell?  FWIW, so many of these "magnum" pistols remind me of nothing so much as a chopped Slavia youth rifle.   ;D  Still, when you think about it, the big Ruger revolvers are powerful but a .30-30 at point blank range carries a LOT more weight.  Macho needs this gun.  Must have.
