I've got one of these scopes and I like it. That's a good price too.

Tempting but I just can't see myself paying another $16 for shipping.  Still a good price but just not enough for me to bite with the economy the way it is.

BSA vs. Leapers in everyone's opinion.  How do they stack up?  Personally, I'm a Leapers man.

For me, it comes down to if I want a mildot reticle or not.  The BSAs dont have mildot reticles in the airgun rated series.  Leapers has the mildot reticles.  My choice comes down to 3-12x44 BSA, or 4-16x50/6-24x50 Leapers.  I'm currently using the BSAs for close range low/medium powered springers, like the B3/B4 chinese rifles and Gamo models that I have.  I use the Leapers scopes for higher power/longer range, so I can use the mildots to reference holdover/holdunder/windage.
I've got the Leapers 1" 6-24x50AO illuminated mildot on my pair of Diana M350s.  They work so good !!!

I got into the Wallymart CenterPoint 4-16x40AO mildot scopes on a few of my guns, but I dont like the small objective.
50mm objective works best for me, and 44mm is as low as I will go.  Haven't tried a 56mm objective yet. If I do...I'll probably then get spoiled on the 56mm and want to replace all my 50mm objective scopes.  Thats a lot of expense.  I'll save my money for some new gun, like a new Crosman/Benjamin PCP.
Gamos all with GRTIII trigger... Whisper.22, Shadow1K.177, CFX.22/177, ShadowExpress.22/shotshell, a .177 Bone Collector with the new plastic trigger(sucks),  Diana 350M.177/22, P5.177, LP8.177, HammerliX2.177/22, Storm22, Chinese B3.177, B3AK47.22, B4.22, B21.22, Beeman1073SwitchBarrel.177/22,  P1.177, P3.177, P17.177, Browning B800.177/22, Crosman1377, Benji HB22, Marauder.22/25.

For sure Natchez has some great prices on scopes. Generally most of there scopes are not springer rated and I do not think they sell Leapers Scopes. With that said you can find some great scopes at great prices if you are using there scopes on PCP's or Co2 air guns.

I was fortunate right off when I became infatuated with springers..:) My very first scope was the BSA 3-9X40 AO. They would hold up great with springers. Bought several of them as time passed. My eyes were getting tired and I needed something clearer and stronger so I jumped up to the Simmons Pro Air AG rated scopes which they do not make any longer. Those were 4-12X40 AO scopes. Then as time passed and found that any good scope would work great on PCP's I started looking for clearer glass scopes. I then found the Bushnell scopes. They were more expensive but had much clearer glass than the old BSA scopes. I found that certain model Bushnell scopes, even though they were not AG rated would work great and hold up on medium powered springers. From there I graduated to the larger 50 objective scopes and have found that Hawk has some fine AG rated scopes in larger and clearer glass. To date I have several Hawk scopes and have found that the Simmons White Tail classic mil dot scopes are some of the clearest and brightest scopes I have ever laid my eyes on...:) I have a few of them and they are  strickly a PCP rated scope. I have peered through and have owned only one Leapers scope and the glass was clear and bright. Even more so than some BSA scopes. But I have always had issues with the weight of Leapers scopes but that does not take away from there quality for the most part.

IMO buying scopes are a personal issue. Depending on the health and age of your eyes. I have spent hundreds of dollars buying scopes and the scopes I look for for me have to be clear and bright not to mention a larger field of view...:)

Just my personal experience and 2 cents...:)

Speaking of Natchez prices, check out the closeout prices on the Nitrex by Weaver.  Excellent quality Japanese glass.  The Nitrex I series also have a $50 rebate.  The Nitrex II's have  a $100 rebate.  Great prices.  I picked up a Nitrex II 3-15X 42 with the etched reticle and sidewheel AO.  $240 after rebate for a $650 retail scope for my CZ-527 Varmint in .223 Rem.

That is a sweet looking deal. I don't read anywhere that it is spring gun rated. Can someone verify it will hold up to a turbo tuned Whisper? What size rings, 1" or 30  mm? Thanks for the info.

Don't know, but I suspect they are not air gun rated.  I bought mine for a CZ-527 Varmint in .223 Rem.  Sorry.

Airforce, bsa, leapers, centerpoint, nikkostirling, hawkes, bushnell, barska, those brands I know for sure makes springer rated scopes I'm sure others will chime in on some I missed but these are the most popular for spring guns now for co2/pcp/hpa good news you can use any scope on these types because of no recoil but the listed above they make springer rated scopes some better than others

The long eye relief scares me..:) I have had two with 4" eye relief and hated both of them..:) For me the 3" to 3.5" eye relief is comfortable and easy for my old eyes to align up with. Guess I am set in my ways.. But for sure those scopes are very well made and the glass must be excellent.

I have been searching for a definite answer to my question for the past week. Tech at Weaver never answered my inquirye;mail. I could not find where it was addressed on any of the sites.
I called Natchez today and they thought the Nitrex line was covered for springer use but suggested I phone Weaver. The tech I spoke with at Weaver assured me that the scope was covered under warranty for air guns and would hold up under the most powerful ones. That was all I needed, mine is on the way.
