I'm bringing this one up only because of all the folks that where already rating this gun, best thing since slice bread, and being swearing by it commiting themselves to buy one as soon has they get a chance.

Well I have it from a solid source, that actually handled the gun.

One of the biggest selling point was that this big bore was barely less quite than a Maurader.
well, that appears to be incorrect, apparently the gun is pretty darn LOUD.

Big and heavy ? well we knew that, but it surely is being confirmed.

Ugly ? matter of taste I guess

Yes she can get high FPE but for a very limited ammount of shots, not huge upgrade really than a tuned 201/202 or a Corsair

I realise that the gun hasn't come out yet, but since it has caused so much attention with the Crosman claims and the like above mentioned getting placed on a pedistal from so many people already.

I was just going to share a bit of info since it's trickling in,.....so to keep everyone honest

If I had $1500 laying around I would get one. i think Crossman would have done better to have made a beefed up Mrod in 9mm. The fact that it is big and heavy are what really sink it for me.

I'd still get one if I had the money.

I'd hope to own one just as i want to own each of the other various custom and factory guns out there. Each is different with good points and bad, certain models fit some better than others and the only way to find out is to own, tinker with and test one. So long as i can afford them i want them all

btw manny, if you've never tried one, pick up one of the disco refurbs for $150.00 and prepere to have a favorite new birdgun... i just noticed you didn't have a .177 pcp

You know Jeff, my Philosophy is that unless a PCP is significantly more powerfull than a springer/nitro of the same caliber i really have absolutely 0 interest in them, for me PCP it's all about power, if I have to have a 20 FPE PCP I'll rather get a Nitro anyday.

Minimum FPE before I consider a PCP has to be 45-50 on rifles and 30 for pistols.

And just as we differ in our ft/lb requirements to enjoy a pcp, we differ in our opinions concerning appearance. While we both agree the rainstorm is a beauty, i like the "tactical" look on guns, both PB and air. You prefer the korean guns. I agree with another member who referred to the look of the sam yang as "2 earthworms mating". They are just the ugliest guns i've ever seen. You think differently. Everyone has a different look they like. Personally i just really want it(rogue) to shoot well and powerfully, i have no issues with the looks, they are fine to me,i know so many thousands of hours were spent on it's design and so as with most American made products, they are not copies of anything else and are very unique in their design and purpose. Look very forward to trying one out someday, as well as new guns/designs from overseas. Especially that new 9mm Rainstorm

Great thread going here, guys. One thing I realy love about airguns is that there is something in the hobby/obsession for everyone.
Somebody wants a paper puncher that will put 50 shots at 10 meters thru the same hole. Somebody wants two .50 cal shots at 400 FPE. Somebody wants to reliably take pests in the back yard without the next door neighbor having a clue. Some folks love to work on their guns, others don't have any idea...or care... what's inside them. SOmebody has a single gun they bought for $39.95, and somebody else has a $20,000 collection. Its a great community. Me, I love to take them apart and modify and experiment, almost always to get get more power. If I couldn't work on them, I'd have zero interest. Hunting...take it or leave it. Target shooting.... boring. Get another 30 FPE out of this gun...YES!!!

The Rogue fits in here too, and as we've all said it's not for everyone. If what you want is a handful of 200-250fpe shots, there are good guns out there that can do that. Or if you want a long string of 120fpe big bore shots, there are good tuners that can give you that, too. A 357 on high power that is as quiet as a .25 cal gun making a third as much power??? Maybe not a reasonable expectation. Fairly quiet at 120 fpe, that sounds nice. But combining all this into one package is pretty different. I haven't had my hands on one yet, but am anxious to. If nothing else, it will be very different, and it will work well.

Jeff I fell off my chair on the 2 earth worms mateing thing LOL. Now ya know o'le buddy ya like that rem 1100 looking Sam Yang LOL only kidding ya. Jeff I'm still laughing over them their earth worms.LoL Jeff ya didn't get hit by all that rough weather did ya? I got family all over the Carolinas. Haha Dave, it IS a Remington 1100 butt end and receiver i swear, or the newer ones look more like the browning BPS. Now those are great shotguns but when coupled with an over under barrel set it looks kinda weird

Great guns though. In the pic below i covered mine up and it got downright attractive, some things are better covered

excuse my blowup turkey. This is why we have different power requirements for pcp's manny, your pictures are of you and 50lb wild hogs, mine are of plastic turkeys...

Everything good here, lots of other folks were in the path of those storms(hope yours are ok) but we were blessed to not even lose power in our area, thanks for asking

Hey Butcher, I am gonna have to break down and get me another Ugly big boar,lol- one of these days. I use to have a Butt ugly 50-cal-Dragon Slayer but got rid of it. I think it will be a Samyang or a Cosair. been having too much fun with the 25 mrod for now. I lkie the look of those Ugly but effective 909 shooter's Lol Come on guys they are all ugly but do they shoot. Thats what the game tells me that hits'em.lol

I think the Dragon slayer is quite attractive actually and your right, all these guns shoot so good you do grow to love them, no matter how ugly they are.

"quieter than a marauder" has never been mentioned as a selling point. It's about as loud as a .22 rimfire and an un-scientific test prior to SHOT Show measured the low range around 78 dB and the high range around 90. We've been doing a lot of tests in an indoor range surrounded by concrete and shooting at a steel trap so if you're "solid source" says it's loud, well, consider where they're hearing it fired. At the Malvern show it was being shot within a structure with a steel roof. Meanwhile, I was in Texas in an actual hunting enviroment, ie. in the great outdoors where the Rogue is intended to be used, and can tell you it was impressively quiet.

20 shots with an FPE of 150 or 4 shots @ 250fpe. Nothing in a big bore matches the shot count on a single fill or the versatllity.

Chip please take this in good taste . I have not gotten into any of the debates . I do own Crosmans and I do own 6 BB as well . I hope your new rifle sets a new bench mark for others to reach . But I would like to see the chrony strings for the power levels you have mentioned as well as any others you can give . It would help me make up my mind as to which rifle to purchase next .
